The stadium is located in a large sports park that houses several tennis courts, running tracks, archery facilities and baseball diamonds. It has hosted rugby matches in the 2008 Pacific Nations Cup and the 2013 Asian Five Nations. The stadium is accessible by bus from Hakata Station (several lines).
